The Prince George’s County Police Department (PGPD) is seeking the public’s assistance in locating Fausto Galeano-Soriano, a 44-year-old man from Riverdale, who is wanted in connection with a brutal homicide that took place earlier this year.
The incident, which left 53-year-old Angel Martinez dead, occurred on May 5, and despite months of investigation, Galeano-Soriano remains at large.
According to investigators, officers responded to a distress call on May 5 regarding an unresponsive man lying on Riverdale Road, a busy stretch that runs through several residential and commercial areas.
When officers arrived, they found Martinez unresponsive and suffering from what officials have described as “blunt force trauma.”
He was later pronounced dead, with the Medical Examiner’s Office officially ruling his death a homicide.
“Martinez was attacked in a way that left him with injuries he couldn’t survive,” a PGPD spokesperson said, stressing the department’s commitment to finding justice for Martinez and his family.
Galeano-Soriano was charged with first- and second-degree murder, as well as other offenses.
The homicide has shaken many in the Riverdale community, where violent crime rates have generally been low in recent years, leaving residents on edge and eager for answers.
This is a developing story.
